Frequently Asked Questions
Can I add a popular song to our video?
Maybe - There are a lot of copyright laws that prohibits us as creators to use copyrighted music, this includes Bollywood, top 40 songs, anything you hear on the radio. The law is there to protect artist from not receiving proper compensation from royalties.
There are ways around this and that’s by purchasing the copyright for your specific edit* so if lets say you want 2 videos with an Ed Sheeran song then that same song has to be purchased 2 times. This can range depending on the studio and who owns the royalties, luckily we have found a website that has gathered permission from the the artists. If your song is on this website then yes we are able to accommodate the song for an additional fee. Link to that website below.
Otherwise we have multiple subscriptions where we purchase royalty free music that we use for all of our videos. We kindly ask that you allow us to choose the music for your wedding video since we are constantly looking for the perfect songs that have different ranges in drop of tempo, speed and tone in order to give the proper goosebumps that your video deserves!
What is the difference between a Teaser, Feature/highlight and Doc Edits?
Teaser
A teaser is a short creative recap of your wedding day. It will include soundbites of your ceremony, background music and is typically delivered between 8-10 weeks.
Feature/Highlight
A feature is a longer creative recap with soundbites of your ceremony and reception speeches along with background music typically delivered between 3-5 months
Documentary Edits
Doc Edits are rough cuts “as it happened” of your entire ceremony, speeches and/or reception events. We gather all of the angles and professional audio of the specific event, sync it, and edit it together. These are not creative and are meant for you to look back on an relive that specific event as it happen.
Do you fly drones?
Yes we do. We actually hold a Part 107 license and are insured! We fly them as long as the FAA and weather allows us to fly. Without this license there is a chance that the drones will not be able to take off if your venue happens to be located within regulated airspace.
The FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) requires anyone that is flying for commercial use to hold a Part 107 license. The exam tests us on Airport Operations, Radio Communications, Airspace, Weather Theory, Aeronautical Decision making, GPS Coordinates and Pilot Charts!
When can we expect to get our videos.
This really depends on the season and how busy we are during those months. Typically my goal is to get everything out between 3 months but can go up to 5 months depending on the season. We do send out an email after your wedding with a tracking page where you can see the status/queue of our weddings and events.
